triqs.lattice.utils.extend_wannier90_to_spin(hopp_dict, num_wann)[source]

Extend a Wannier90 hopping dictionary with a trivial spin index.

Each (num_wann, num_wann) hopping matrix is replaced by its Kronecker product with the 2 x 2 identity, doubling the orbital count.

Parameters:

hopp_dictdict: Dictionary of real-space hoppings, as returned by parse_hopping_from_wannier90_hr_dat().
num_wannint: Number of Wannier functions per unit cell (without spin).

Returns:

hopp_dict_spindict: Dictionary of real-space hoppings with spin indices included.
num_wann_spinint: Total number of Wannier functions per unit cell including spin (2 * num_wann).
